Hot water cylinder energy saving tips

Hey Auckland, time to check that hot water cylinder isn't costing you money.

Here are some tips from Steve!

Switch off your cylinder while you are away on holiday for over 2 weeks. On your return you’ll need half a day after cranking it back up before you use it to ensure any bacteria are killed.

The temperature of your water should be between 55°C and 60°C. If you want this tested or adjusted, we are happy to help.

Wrap your cylinder up all cosy. If you wrap your pre - 2002 cylinder you are going to find you’ll save a chunk of money over the year.

If your cylinder has stopped working, give us a call and we'll replace any fuses or elements that need it.
